On Saturday afternoon I spoke with Julia Field, Pat Hunt and Fatma Hindi of Code Pink Chicago. Code Pink is an anti-war organization that is working to end the war in Iraq and stop future wars from taking place.
We talked about the U.S. presence in Iraq and the possibility of a change in U.S. policy now that Obama is president.
Hindi, an Iraqi refugee, then spoke about the initial hope in Iraq after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein and how conditions have dramatically worsened since that time.
